On the other hand West Ham United manager David Moyes was in high hope expecting a win from his team. As regards to his high expectation, he had got his teams prepared with lots of training and also rested some of his players for the thigh against the blues.

 

In the first 3 month into the premier league, Chelsea’s performance was exceptional and pleasing as they could easily defeat any team. But in the long run, they missed out as a result of the few losses they experienced.

MATCH SUMMARY AND ANALYSIS.

The first ‘45 + 3 minutes was goalless as both teams found it difficult to create a goal. West Ham were really satisfied with the first half result as it would get them more prepared for the second half.

Looking vividly at the first half of the match, we discovered that Chelsea created a lot of chances and also got a lot of possession on the ball compared to West Ham that only needed a draw at the first half of the match.

West Ham goalkeeper also made few saves and was also very much vigilant in the match as he could easily organize the defenders.



2nd HALF SUMMARY AND ANALYSIS

 

Into the second half, Chelsea were much at their best and were able to create some chances that were saved by the West Ham goalkeeper. Kanté took a quick shot at the ‘57th minute but was denied by the goalkeeper.

So far no changes had been made by either of the teams. ‘70 into the match, Mendy made some fantastic saves that got the spectators cheering.

 

Mount and Werner had some few chances to score but were denied access by the defenders. In the 81’ minute, Alonso was awarded a yellow card for a foul he committed.

The 84th minute was very dramatic owing to the fact that Dawson pulled down Lukaku in the goal box as he was about to create a goal but the referee quickly sighted that and blew the whistle for a penalty in which a red card was awarded to him. Unfortunately for the Blues the penalty was denied by Fabianski the West Ham goalkeeper leaving the score line the same.

‘90 minute into the match, Mount made a pass to Alonso then. Alonso made an accurate cross to Pulisic and he located the net with his left foot. That was a fantastic goal for the Blues as it was the winning goal. As regards to this goal, it has made the Blues retain the first position on the table firmly.
