the King of creation!
O my soul, praise him, for he is thy
health and salvation!
All ye who hear,
now to his temple draw near;
joining in glad adoration. - Praise to the Lord, who over all
things so wondrously reigneth,
shieldeth thee gently from harm,
or when fainting sustaineth:
Hast thou not seen
how thy heart wishes have been
granted in what he ordaineth? - Praise to the Lord, who doth
prosper thy work and defend thee;
surely his goodness and mercy shall
daily attend thee.
Ponder anew
what the Almighty can do,
if to the end he befriend thee. - Praise to the Lord, O let all that is
in me adore him!
All that hath life and breath, come
now with praises before him.
Let the amen
sound from his people again,
gladly for ay we adore him.

(d). THE COMMANDMENTS …
(e). SUMMARY OF THE LAW…
(f). CONFESSION
(g). SENTENCES:
God so loved the world that He gave His only Son Jesus Christ to save us from our sins, to be our Advocate in heaven, and to bring us to eternal life.
Or One or more these Sentences
Hear the words of comfort our Saviour Christ says to all who truly turn to Him: Come to me, all who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. (Mt. 11:28).
God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. (Jn 3:16).
Hear what St. Paul says: This saying is true and worthy of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners (1 Tim. 1:15)
Hear also what St. John says: If any one sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous; and He is the propitiation for our sins (1 Jn. 2:1)
 President: Let us confess our sins, in penitence and faith, firmly resolved to keep God’s commandments and to live in love and peace with all people; meekly kneeling upon our knees.
(A Brief pause)
 (h). GENERAL CONFESION
All:Â Almighty God, our heavenly Father,
We have sinned against You
and against our neighbours,
in thought and word and deed,
through negligence, through weakness,
through our own deliberate fault.
We have not sufficiently walked according to the mind of Christ.
We have named the name of Christ,
but have not departed from iniquity.
We are truly sorry, and repent of all our sins.
For the sake of Your Son Jesus Christ,
who died for us, forgive us all that is past,
and grant that we may serve You in newness of life,
to the glory of Your name. Amen.
President: Almighty God,
who forgives all who truly repent,
have mercy upon you,
pardon and deliver you from all your sins,
confirm and strengthen you in all goodness,
and keep you in life eternal;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
All: Amen.
COLLECT AND THE MINISTRY OF THE WORD
President:Â The Lord be with you
All:Â And also with you
President:Â Let us pray.
COLLECT FOR THE DAY
Oh God, for as much as without You, we are not able to please You; mercifully grant that Your Holy Spirit may in all things direct and rule our hearts; through Jesus Christ our Lord, Who lives and Reigns with You and Holy Spirit, One God, now and forever. Amen.
- Epistle — Romans 8: 12 – 17
- Hymn for Gradual – A & M 181
Hymn A&M 181 God moves in a mysterious way
- God moves in a mysterious way
his wonders to perform:
he plants his footsteps in the sea,
and rides upon the storm. - Deep in unfathomable mines,
of never-failing skill,
he treasures up his bright designs,
and works his sovereign will. - Ye fearful saints, fresh courage take;
the clouds ye so much dread
are big with mercy, and shall break
in blessings on your head. - Judge not the Lord by feeble sense,
but trust him for his grace;
behind a frowning providence
he hides a smiling face. - His purposes will ripen fast,
unfolding every hour:
the bud may have a bitter taste,
but sweet will be the flower. - Blind unbelief is sure to err,
and scan his work in vain;
God is his own interpreter,
and he will make it plain.

- Gospel — Matthew 21: 28 – 32Â
- Hymn for Sermon S S & S 23
SS & S 23 To God be the glory! great things
- 1. To God be the glory! great things
He hath done :
So loved He the world that He gave us His Son ;
Who yielded His life an atonement for sin,
And opened the Life-gate that all may go in.
Praise the Lord ! praise the Lord !
Let the earth hear His voice !
Praise the Lord ! praise the Lord !
Let the people rejoice !
Oh, come to the Father, through Jesus the Son ;
And give Him the glory
great things He hath done!
2 O perfect redemption, the purchase of blood,
To every believe the promise of God;
The vilest offender who truly believes,
That moment from Jesus a pardon receives.
3 Great things He hath taught us, great
things He hath done,
And great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son;
But purer, and higher,and greater will be
Our wonder, our transport, when Jesus we see
- Sermon – Ven. Ikenna Nwachukwu
- Special Number by the Students
- Nicene Creed, prayers & Peace
THE NICENE CREED (Congregation Stands)
All:Â We believe in one God,
the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is seen and unseen.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
of one being with the Father
Through Him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation,
He came down from heaven;
by the power of the Holy Spirit
He became incarnate of the Virgin Mary
and was made man.
For our sake He was crucified under Pontius Pilate:
He suffered death and was buried.
On the third day He rose again
in accordance with the scriptures;
He ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory,
to judge the living and the dead,
and His kingdom will have no end.
We believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Lord, the Giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son.
With the Father and the Son
He is worshipped and glorified;
He has spoken through the prophets.
We believe in one, Holy,
Catholic and Apostolic Church;
we acknowledge one baptism
for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. Amen

Hymn A&M 300
- Be thou my guardian and my guide,
and hear me when I call;
let not my slippery footsteps slide,
and hold me lest I fall. - The world, the flesh, and Satan dwell
around the path I tread;
O save me from the snares of hell,
thou Quickener of the dead. - And if I tempted am to sin,
and outward things are strong,
do thou, O Lord, keep watch within,
and save my soul from wrong. - Still let me ever watch and pray,
and feel that I am frail;
that if the tempter cross my way,
yet he may not prevail
