Mrs. Comfort Innocent has revealed how she trafficked Nigerian teenage girls to Italy for prostitution with the help of her husband who lives in Italy. She made this confession when she was apprehended by the Ogun state police department on the 22nd December 2020 over alleged child trafficking.

Mrs. Comfort Innocent is 35 years old. She opened up to the security agents after putting exerting so much energy in probing her. She claimed that she has been involved in the criminal act of trafficking teenage girls to Italy for prostitution. She is not alone in this business.
She further revealed that with the help of her husband who lives in Italy, she was able to cross as many young girls as she wanted. She trafficked teenagers from Nigeria to Italy through the crisis-ridden Libya border to Italy for prostitution.

Nemesis caught up with her on the 22nd of December. She was arrested by the Police after Oluwaseun Adurarola and Sakirat Fasasi made complaints to the police department in Owode Egba against her husband. They alleged that Mr. Clement Innocent abducted their daughters whose names are Blessing Aduratola and Hasisat Fasasi, both of whom are 15 and 16 years respectively.
When the two women made the allegations against the suspect, they also informed the police that their daughters are on the verge of being sold into prostitution in Italy. The Divisional Police Officer for Owode Egba Division led a team of detectives to arrest the suspect.
Police spokesman Abimbola Oyeyemi, who disclosed this in a statement, said the suspect has admitted during interrogations to the allegation against her. She also admitted she has been in the business for a long time with the aid of her husband living overseas.
Abimbola, a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), said the two girls the suspect abducted were taken to Kaduna State, from where they would be transported to Libya, adding that they had, however, been rescued in Kaduna State by the police.
Mrs. Comfort Innocent is to be transferred to the Anti-Human Trafficking and Child Labour Unit of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigation. This is according to the order and directive of Commissioner of Police Edward Ajogun.
