It was a moment of tears and sadness as the remains and body of the Bishop of Anglican Diocese of Sokoto, His Lordship, the Rt. Rev. Augustine Omole, Ph.D. lies in state for the final burial. The burial was officiated by the Primate All Nigeria Anglican Communion, the Most Rev’d Henry Ndukuba.
The service of song was held yesterday. And burial service was held today, Saturday, June 12, 2021, in honor of Bishop A. Omole at the Holy Trinity Cathedral (Anglican Diocese of Ido-Ani) Ido-Ani, Ose LGA. Ondo State. It was covered by the Diocese of Sokoto Anglican Church (DOSAC) Media.
Sokoto Diocese and the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, have lost a vocal and cerebral Clergyman and Bishop, His Lordship, the Rt. Rev. Augustine Omole, Ph.D., the Bishop of Sokoto Diocese. He joined the Saints Triumphant two months ago, the 8th of April, 2021.
This was barely seven days after celebrating the Maundy Thursday in his Cathedral. He was pictured while washing the feet of his priests and members of the Anglican Communion in demonstration of Jesus teaching.

Bishop Augustine Akinyele Omole was the serving Bishop of Sokoto Diocese in Anglican Communion before his death. His death was made public via the Anglican Clergy and Laity Forum after it was shared by an insider, Yinka Joe-Fadile.
According to reports, the rt. Rev’d Dr. Augustine Akinyele Omole died of injuries he sustained. He was reported to be involved in a vehicle accident and a few days later, he died.
The Rt. Rev’d Dr. Augustine Akinyele Omole was born in 1955. He died at the age of 66. He is survived by his wife and the children.
