Family Announces date for Caleb Maduoma’s Burial

Family of the retired bishop and Archbishop, the late Most Rev. Caleb Anny Maduoma, announces the date for Caleb Maduoma’s Burial.

The burial date for the retired Archbishop of  Owerri Province and  Bishop of Ideato Diocese, the Most Rev’d Dr. Caleb A. Maduoma has been announced by the family. This was made public by Anglican forums via social.


Family Mourns Archbishop Caleb Maduoma; gives Date for his Burial

Caleb Maduoma was born on September 22, 1950. He died in April 2021. His burial dates have been stipulated as follows:

Service of Tributes at All saints’ Church Yaba, Lagos where he worked before he was made a Bishop. Date for the Service Tribute: Wednesday, June 2021; Time: 4 pm.

Service of Songs in his honor will be held in Caleb Maduoma’s home church at St. Stephen’s Church, Awalla Ideato-South, Imo State. Date: Wednesday, July 7, 2021. Time: 4 pm.

His Commendation Service will take place on Friday, July 7, 2021, at the Cathedral Church of St. Peter, Arondizuogu, Ideato-North, Imo State. Time: 7 am.


Family Announces date for Caleb Maduoma’s Burial

Burial Service:

The remains of the Most Rev. Dr. Caleb Maduoma will leave Cathedral for his village for lying-in-state before going to home church; St. Stephen’s Church, Awalla.

Date: Friday, July 9, 202. Time: 10 am.

Before his death, the late Most Rev’d Dr. Caleb Maduoma served as a Bishop of and an Archbishop in the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion. “According to data, Caleb Anny Maduoma was the Bishop of Ideato and archbishop of the Ecclesiastical Province of Owerri until his retirement.

He was consecrated as Bishop of Ideato on 25 July 2004 at the Cathedral Church of the Advent, Abuja, having previously been Bishop of Okigwe South.”


Meanwhile, Maduoma died barely one year after his retirement as the Archbishop of Diocese of Ideato and Archbishop of Ecclesiastical province of Owerri.  Maduoma died on April 29, 2021, after a brief illness.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Onyinyechi Maduoma (Nnechinemere) children, and grandchildren.
