The former GovernOR of the Central Bank of Nigeria and former Anambra State PDP gubernatorial candidate has been allegedly attacked a few hours ago by some unknown gunmen in his village hometown in Anambra State.
He was said to be holding a political meeting with his supporters. The meeting was held at his community Town Hall in Isuofia, Aguata Local Government Areas.
The meeting was an interactive session between him and his town’s men and women before the gunmen struck at the venue. two Policemen who were at guard in the venue were allegedly killed at the spot.
A serving Commissioner was kidnapped by unknown gunmen. And as of the time of filing this report, Prof. Charles Soludo’s whereabout is yet unknown. No one can tell whether he is safe or not

In another development, the Anambra State government imposes a curfew following the killings at Igbariam junction.

In reaction to the gruesome killings and the beheading of little children, men, and women at Igbariam junction in Anambra State by Fulani herdsmen, the government of Anambra state has made a swift move to impose curfew in Igbariam and the surrounding towns.
Earlier today, the public was alerted through a social media video of dead bodies of men, women, and children who were also beheaded and had their corpses heaped together. It was alleged that the gruesome massacre was perpetrated by Fulani herdsmen.
This claim was backed by videos that have been circulating on social media. To ensure the crisis does not escalate, the governor of the State, Willie Obiano has imposed a curfew in the affected areas.
