St. Andrew’s Basilica, Trans-Ekulu, Enugu Agogs as Body of Mother of Primate of All Nigeria Lies in State.
The Most Rev’d Henry Ndukuba, Archbishop, Metropolitan, and Primate of All Nigeria Anglican Communion, has lost his beloved mother, late Mrs. Selina Ozioma Ndukuba. Her remains will be laid to rest at her husband’s hometown in Orlu, Imo State on Thursday 28, May 2021.
Service of Songs for the honor of the mother of Primate was held yesterday, 23rd May 2021 at the St. Andrew’s Basilica, Trans-Ekulu, Enugu. Commendation service was held today at the same venue.
9jainformed.com reporters who were present at the venue covered the Commendation service. Before the demise of the late Mrs. Selina Ozioma Ndukuba, she was a worshipper at the St. Andrew’s Basilica, Trans-Ekulu, Nike Diocese, Enugu.
We also gathered that Enugu town is the home base of the Ndukuba family. The primate’s parents lived in Enugu.
The commendation was well attended by the Archbishop and the bishops from all corners of the State, from different Dioceses. It was a provincial affair and so the bishops of the Enugu Ecclesiastical Province of Enugu and their wives were present both yesterday and today, even the pioneer bishops of the Province.
The Rt. Rev’d Dr. Christian Onyeka Onyia, the new Bishop of Nike Diocese who gave a beautiful rendition in the honour of Mama Primate, presided over the commendation service. The Rt. Rev’d Benson Chukwunwike, the new Bishop of Awgu Aninri Diocese conducted the commendation service while the Most Rev’d Dr. E . O. Chukwuma OON, the Archbishop of the Ecclesiastical province of Enugu gave the commendation homely.

The Most Rev’d Henry Chukwudum Ndukuba who was unavoidably absent from his late mother’s service of songs and Commendation joined the services through Zoom. He gave the vote of thanks and final appreciation to people who have gathered to mourn with his family.
In his words, he took the time to mention and thank the Archbishop of Enugu ecclesiastical province and all the Bishops and their wives who have shown solidarity all through the mourning period.
“I am marveled and overwhelmed on the great support and solidarity of the Enugu Ecclesiastical Province, for their show of love and also the church where Mama worshipped until her death. I appreciate all your love”. Primate Henry Ndukuba said.
He also thanked the Archbishop of Enugu Diocese and his wife. In his comment, he mentioned the pioneer Bishop of Nike Diocese the Rt. Rev’d Prof. Ibeagha and his wife for their immense support to his family. He praised the Bishop of Bukuru who was also present right from the service of Songs, yesterday and today.
Primate Henry Ndukuba ended his vote of thanks with a Bible verse and draws everyone’s attention to the eternal hope which is to come.
