Social media users have raised their eyes browns on the campaign posters of Primary School pupils who are campaigning the posts of class monitors and the school prefects. The quest and hunger for power are gradually creeping into our educational sectors, and the worst is now seen in primary schools. The posts of Head Girl, Library Prefert, and class monitor in the Primary schools have been turned into politics.

These are posters of primary school pupils canvassing votes from their fellow pupils in order to head an elective position in the school. The posters were seen at the gate of one of the popular schools in the city. Is it right or wrong?
I will not beat about the bush in this case. I am going to give my candid answer and opinion. It is very wrong. The children are still tender to be made to mimic the game of politics. Their parents should be held responsible. I said so because I believe the cost of printing the posters was footed by their parents.
At this stage of their education, an appointment should be given by merits and by choice and not by any influence done through the creation of awareness of this kind. The position of a Head-Girl is always for that brilliant and well-mannered pupil. Library Prefect is for the bookworms.
The school management knows who is who and who fits for a particular position. Making the children go the way of our politicians in order to be given a post in primary schools is preposterous.
