First of all I use Stripe in Nigeria. I created my Stripe account in 2020 when I signed up to write for Medium. There was need to have a Stripe account because that is the only means Medium can pay writers. So, I created my first and only Stripe account and it has been working ever since. How I Created, Opened and Use Stripe Account in Nigeria
You read that before now, Stripe is not supported in Nigeria. But you also heard that I started using it in Nigeria far back 2020. How did I achieve it? Here are the work over on how to open or create a stripe account and use it without problem in Nigeria in 2023.
First step: Create an LLC
The first step is to have an LLC. LLC means Limited Liability Company. The LLC will be created in the United States. It is easy to create an LLC. You don’t need a lawyer for this. All you need is to use an LLC formation service such as  Incfile.
2nd Step: Get an EIN
When you form your LLC, you will get an EIN which I mentioned earlier. The EIN will be part of the legal requirements by Stripe to set up your account.
3rd Step: get a US address using  Shipito
Another requirement is to have a US address. This one is not hard to get. In just 2 minutes you can get a US address using Shipito. They will give you a US house address when you signup.
4th Step: Get a US Phone Number
The fourth thing you will need is to get a US phone number. This is not also hard to get. There are many services out there that allow you to get a US phone number, one of which is Dingtone.
There are many of information on the internet showing you how to use Stripe in Nigeria but the method discussed in this post is the safest and risk-free method which is accepted to be legitimate by Stripe if you are from an unsupported country.
5th Step – Get a US Bank Account, alternatives are: Payoneer, Grey or Geepay
The last thing required in opening Stripe account is a US bank account. It is very simple to get a US bank, you can use Payoneer, Grey or Geepay. These financial institutions allow having a foreign bank account without stepping your feet into any physical bank.
To create a Payoneer, Grey or Geepay account is as easy as creating any other online account. You just need to type ‘Payoneer or Grey’ signup from your Search engine. It will give you options. Just click
