Gunmen Kidnap 300 Secondary School Students in Zamfara

Gunmen have invaded Government Girls Secondary School Jangebe in Talata-Mafara Local Government Area of Zamfara State. Gunmen Kidnap 300 Secondary School Students in Zamfara.

Breaking News: Gunmen storm Girls Secondary school, abduct 300 female students.

-The State Commissioner for Information, Hon. Suleiman Tunau Anka confirmed the incident to the media. He said the gunmen stormed the school around 1 a.m. today and abducted the students.

It has been confirmed that unknown gunmen stormed Zamfara Girls secondary school and kidnapped over 300 students. According to Legit.ng, the incident happened in the early hours of Friday, February 26.

In the report, it was gathered that a resident of Kawaye village identified as Sadi Kawaye told Daily Trust that his daughters, Mansura and Sakina were among those abducted.
“I’m on my to Jangebe now to see the situation myself. I was told they invaded the school around 1 a.m,” he told our reporter over the phone”.

This is the fourth time of massive kidnapping and abduction incidences are being recorded in Northwest Nigeria. It began from the abduction of over 300 students from a government college in Kankara, Katsina State, and now, Girls Secondary School Jangebe.

The gunmen invaded the school and took the children away. Although, a News source said Vigilantes in the area gave them a chase. They exchanged gunfire with the terrorists and are giving them a chase to rescue the schoolgirls.
