What is MTN Muson Music Scholars program?
MUSON is a music school founded by a group of friends for the love of music. Musical Society Of Nigeria ( MUSON) was founded in 1983 to promote the understanding, enjoyment, and performance of classical and contemporary music in Nigeria.
MUSON put hand together with MTN foundation have announced a date for their Diploma course entrance examination for the 2021-2022 academic year. The MUSON is well equipped to bring out the best of music education
About MTN Foundation
MTN Foundation scholarship is a program founded by MTN Nigeria to provide financial assistance to students who perform in school but couldn’t afford to pay to further their education. So the foundation was formed to appreciate students’ academic excellence.
The MUSON School of Music is a non-profit organization dedicated to music education. It is located at Marina, Onikan, 8/9 Lagos.
How to Apply for MTN Muson Music Scholars program/ Diploma Course
Admission Requirement for MTN Muson Music Scholars program
To apply for MTNF/MUSON Diploma course, the candidate must have the following educational qualifications or requirements
– The General Certificate of Education(GCE) ordinary level with credits in at least five subjects including the English Language
or
-The Senior secondary school certificate(SSCE) with credits in at least 5 subjects including the English language
Both of the requirements require that you have 5 credits in not more than 2 sittings.
Other Requirements Include

Practical
Grade 5 or other high pass certificates in any institution of music that is approved by MUSON. Examples of such schools are ABRSM or Trinity
-
Theory
Grade 5 or other higher pass certificates in any music institution approved by MUSON school
However, it is also stated that Applicants with the aforementioned Practical or Theory certifications must also pass the GCE (O/L) or SSCE. Applicants who are poor in theory but demonstrate exceptional practical competence in the judgment of the Faculty/Jury may be considered for admission but must enroll in a remedial theory course by the end of the first year to achieve the required level.
