Catholic Bishop of Ilorin, Most Rev Dr Paul Adegboyega Olawoore is dead
The Catholic Diocese of Ilorin, Kwara State has been thrown into mourning on New Year Eve as the serving Bishop of the Diocese and Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Kwara State chapter, Most Rev Dr. Paul Adegboyega Olawoore went to be with his Maker. His death was made public on social media by St John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Ladipo Lagos State. He was said to be sick for a brief period of time before passing on to eternity.

Most Rev Dr Paul Adegboyega Olawoore died in the active service at the age of 60. According to his biography, he was born on November 30, 1961. According to record, the Most Rev Dr. Paul A. Olawoore served as a bishop for only 3 years before his death. He was appointed in July 2018, took over as a successor in June 2019, and died in January 2022.
He was ordained a Roman Catholic Priest on October 3, 1992; as Priest of Oyo, Nigeria. On July 13, 2018, he was made and consecrated as the Bishop of Ilorin Catholic Diocese. Firstly, he was appointed Coadjutor Bishop of Ilorin, Nigeria April 4, 2018, and before his bishopry ordination on July 13, 2018, at St. Joseph, Cathedral, Ilorin, Kwara state
As the Coadjutor Bishop of IlorinCatholic Diocese, he replaced his predecessor as Bishop of Ilorin, Kwara state June 11, 2019. He died on January 1, 2022.
